Founded in 1994, the Ophthalmological Center “Eye Microsurgery” SRL (hereinafter – the Center) is a private provider of health care services in the fields of ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology.

Founded in 1994, the Ophthalmological Center “Eye Microsurgery” SRL (hereinafter – the Center) is a private provider of health care services in the fields of ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology.

Eye microsurgery is a new branch of ophthalmology that uses minimally invasive medical devices (microscopes, laser units, etc.) to treat ocular conditions. This enables us to perform high-quality, highly precise surgical interventions on the eyes, ensuring the restoration and preservation of vision with minimal trauma to the tissues.

The fundamental principle of the Center’s quality policy is patient orientation, aimed at identifying and meeting patients’ needs.

Our mission is to provide high-quality medical services in a safe and comfortable environment so that patients receive the best possible care.

Our vision is to deliver impeccable ophthalmological and otorhinolaryngological services through high professional competence, the promotion of best medical practices and the implementation of innovative technologies. We will treat every patient as the most important one and will focus our efforts on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and the provision of medical care at an international standard, thereby improving the quality of life of our patients.

Our objectives for ensuring and improving the quality of services and patient safety are:
• to place the patient permanently at the center of all processes;
• to manage risks;
• to improve the quality of medical care through continuous professional training and learning from the errors of all staff;
• to organize and improve communication between professionals, as well as between medical staff and patients/legal representatives;
• to foster professional collaboration between individuals and medical teams within the Center and with other health-care institutions;
• to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of medical care through self-assessment and the continual improvement of National and institutional Clinical Protocols and standard operating procedures governing the organization of medical services;
• to increase the efficiency of resource utilization through better activity planning;
• to provide continuous training for staff in order to ensure their flexibility and mobility;
• to achieve the satisfaction of patients, employees and all interested parties with the quality of the services provided;
• to comply with legal requirements in the field of quality applicable to our activities;
• to involve every employee in the implementation of the quality policy through initiative, performance, responsibility and ongoing cooperation.

The Center is in constant development, assimilating and implementing new technologies and treatment methods, significantly reducing treatment time and increasing the level of patient satisfaction.

Quality management of medical services in the Center is a process through which we aim to maintain and continuously improve the quality of the services provided. We have created an environment in which both management and staff strive for excellence. Our team consists of qualified and well-trained specialists, including those who have received training abroad.

The main directions of our quality policy are: focusing on the patient by ensuring their satisfaction and meeting their expectations; involving all medical and non-medical staff through appropriate organization, training and motivation; and establishing standards for service quality. We serve every patient with integrity, dignity and respect.

By setting these priority directions, we constantly strive to maintain and continuously improve the quality management system in accordance with the requirements of the reference standard SR EN ISO 9001:2015.

As General Director, I assume full responsibility for the implementation of this Quality Policy and its objectives and I undertake to:
• ensure the conditions for the adoption, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System;
• ensure the material and human resources necessary for the implementation and maintenance of this Policy and its quality objectives;
• provide medical staff and patients with state-of-the-art medical devices that are safe, effective and harmless;
• ensure the conditions necessary for staff training in order to fulfil their tasks and responsibilities;
• ensure, within the Center, effective communication on the importance of meeting patient requirements and on the Quality Policy;
• periodically review the Quality Policy and quality objectives in order to ensure their continued relevance and effectiveness.

The medical staff of the Center undertakes to:
• respect the dignity of human life;
• show empathy and compassion and provide care without discrimination;
• uphold excellence and professionalism through education, research and evaluation;
• promote quality, equity and responsibility.

At the same time, I request that every employee be fully aware of their personal responsibility for the quality of the work performed, be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the documents of the Quality Management System and put into practice the principle that the patient is at the center of attention. Compliance with the provisions of the Quality Management System documents is mandatory for all staff of the Center.
